Throttle cables like any part wear over time, and eventually fail. Typically the steel inner rusts or wears, causing it to break or become stiff.

TIP: It is highly recommended to thoroughly pre-lube the new cable with Inox, or a similar product to prevent rusting and prolong the life of the life of the cable!
