This cable is runs from the splitter to the carb. Throttle cables like any part wear over time, and eventually fail. Typically the steel inner rusts or wears, causing it to break or become stiff.
TIP: It is highly recommended to thoroughly pre-lube the new cable with Inox, or a similar product to prevent rusting and prolong the life of the life of the cable!

Throttle Cable (to carb) for Aprilia / Piaggio 50cc 2T Models.
All Aprilia and Piaggio 50cc 2T Carb models use a split type throttle cable, made up of 3 separate cables and a y splitter between then.
One cable down from the throttle tube to the splitter, and two cables out from the splitter – one to the carb, and one to the oil pump.
This cable is runs from the splitter to the carb, and is under the most tension of the 3. The throttle return is controlled by the slide spring in the carb, this keeps the tension on the throttle cable – which is held by this cable. Cables often corrode over time, causing tightness and eventually leading to failure.
The best repair is to replace!
