The blue spring is a Hard tension spring, at 100% stiffer than the original factory spring.
The stiffer the contra string, the more resistance it has against the progression of the variator. The CVT transmission is a delicate balance, but when tuned correctly the correct spring allows the bike to rev higher through the progression of the variator.
